NAVARRE MAN CLAIMS SHARE OF $192,337 TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announced today that FANTASY 5® winner Jerry Wayne Hopson, 58, of Navarre, claimed his share of the FANTASY 5 top prize drawn on August 17. The drawing produced two top prize winners both of which have been claimed. Hopson received a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $96,168.82. His winning ticket was a free Quick Pick ticket he had won in a previous FANTASY 5 drawing for matching two numbers. Hopson received his winning FANTASY 5 Quick Pick ticket at Tom Thumb, located at 7614 Navarre Parkway in Navarre. The retailer received a bonus incentive of $500 for selling the top prize winning ticket. The winning numbers were: 07 - 12 - 29 - 30 - 35 Total ticket sales for this top prize generated approximately $248,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $19 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
