THE $500,000 SPECTACULAR SCRATCH-OFF GAME
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Timothy Welch, 57, of El Granada, California, claimed a $500,000 top prize from the $500,000 SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 1700 Sheridan Street in Hollywood.
The $5 game, $500,000 SPECTACULAR, launched in August and offers more than $48.7 million in prizes, including six top prizes of $500,000. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-4.03.
Scratch-Offs are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in FY 2017-18, and comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales.
