DAYTONA BEACH FATHER WINS $2 MILLION
TOP PRIZE TO INVEST IN HIS FAMILY
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that James Wilkerson, 31, of Daytona Beach, claimed the first $2 million top prize from the new $10 GOLD RUSH SUPREME Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,760,000.00.
Wilkerson is excited to invest his winnings in both his family and his family business. "This money gives me the ability to provide the best possible futures for my daughters," he told the Lottery. "I also plan to use some of my winnings to invest in my family's auto business!"
Wilkerson purchased his winning ticket from Speedway, located at 1102 West Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $10 GOLD RUSH SUPREME game features more than $244 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million! The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-3.49.
Players can also enter non-winning GOLD RUSH SUPREME tickets into the Gold Rush Supreme Bonus Play Promotion! In each of the eight drawings, one player will win a growing jackpot prize starting at $10,000, five players will each win $5,000, 15 players will each win $1,000, and 20 players will each win $500.
