Playing PICK 5
Get your play slip
Visit any Florida Lottery retail location for a paper play slip to choose your numbers. Every PICK 5 play slip contains 5 panels. Tickets for each drawing may be purchased up to 12 minutes prior to the applicable drawing – 1:18 p.m., ET for the midday drawing and 9:33 p.m., ET for the evening drawing.
Mark your panels
Choose a panel and select one number (from 0 through 9) from each column for a total of five digits. You may choose the same number in multiple columns or switch it up. Or, mark the QP (Quick Pick) box and let the terminal randomly select some or all of your numbers.
Select your play type:
- Straight: Match numbers in EXACT ORDER to win.
- Box: Match numbers in ANY ORDER to win.
- Straight/Box: Match in EXACT or ANY order to win.
Select the amount you want to play: $0.50 or $1 (all Straight/Box plays cost $1).
Choose your add-On's
Add FIREBALL to replace one of the official PICK winning numbers drawn with the FIREBALL number drawn to create more winning combinations. Adding FIREBALL doubles your ticket price and applies to all panels played. How to Win with Fireball
Save time with Advance Play
To play the same numbers for more than one draw, select the number of advance draws you wish to play in the Advance Play section at the top of your play slip. If you claim a prize on a winning Advance Play ticket before all of the draws on the ticket have occurred, you will be issued a continuation ticket for the remaining draws with the same play numbers as the original ticket.
Select your draw time
PICK 5 drawings are held twice a day. Choose MID for the midday drawing at 1:30 p.m. ET, EVE for the evening drawing at 9:45 p.m., ET, or BOTH for both the midday and evening drawings. If no draw time is marked, the terminal will automatically print a ticket for the next available draw time. If BOTH is selected, two separate tickets will print – one for the midday drawing and one for the evening drawing.
Submit your play slip
Submit your play slip to your Florida Lottery retailer and receive your official printed PICK 5 ticket with your numbers, draw date(s), and any add-ons. You’ll need this ticket to claim any prizes, so keep it safe!
